Kim Kushner loves to cook—she cooks to relax, she cooks to stay healthy, and she cooks to entertain.  Food and family are her passions, and they go hand in hand.  Whether she’s hosting a dinner party, sharing recipes at her local Community Shared Agriculture, or teaching local women how to make the perfect meal to impress their mother-in-law, Kim’s philosophy is simple: food should look as good as it tastes, and no one should be intimidated by it.

According to Kim, if you start with some essentials in your kitchen (sautéed onions, crushed garlic, some lemons, cilantro, and a glass of wine for yourself), anything is possible.  Just keep it simple, keep it fresh, and share it with people you love.  A mother of two young boys, Kim knows how important it is to spend your time wisely, and not be in the kitchen all day.  And if she can get a one-year-old to eat olives, she’s clearly doing something right.
